Recipe- Mathri/ Namak Pare
“A perfect munch time snacks made up of all purpose flour with a flavor of carom seeds.”
All Purpose Flour/ Maida
(Or as per taste)
Ajwain/ Carom Seeds
Sieve maida in a wide bowl. Add carom seeds and salt. Mix well.
Not add ghee (Or oil) and mix well again.
Add sufficient water to knead a medium soft dough. Cover and keep aside for half an hour.
Now after half an hour check the dough, punch back and knead again to smooth.
Heta oil in a wok.
Meanwhile divide the dough in to 4-5 portions.
Roll one portion to medium thick layer. Cut diagonally with the help of a knife.
Drop all the pieces one by one and fry on medium heat until golden brown in color. Do the same with whole dough.
When done remove on absorbent paper an dlet them cool down completely.
When cooled store in a air tight container.
Serve and enjoy with tea.
The dough should not be too hard, it should be medium soft.
Adjust the spices as per your taste buds.
Be careful while deep frying.
